Summary of the contracting process

Transport for London (TfL) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process under the title "TfL Transport Modelling". This process is focused on the services industry category and is located in the United Kingdom, specifically in the region of London. The procurement aims to conduct a strategic review of TfL's Transport Modelling tools and processes, with a budget of up to £1,200,000. As part of this preliminary market engagement, interested parties are invited to express their interest by 20th November 2025. TfL also plans to hold supplier product demonstrations in January 2026, intending to better understand the available technology solutions for various modelling disciplines including Cycling Assignment Modelling and Multi-Modal Demand Modelling.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in transport systems consultancy services and software programming. Particularly, companies well-versed in delivering agent-based simulation models and public transport assignment solutions may find this opportunity highly favourable. Additionally, the tender recognises the suitability of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for participation, offering a promising avenue for such entities to engage with a central government public authority. The planned timeframe for the contract period is from July 2027 to June 2032, with potential for renewal, allowing substantial engagement and business growth prospects in the long term.
