Summary of the contracting process

The Regional Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service (BSO PaLS) is conducting a Pre-Market Engagement (PME) for Training Advanced Ambulance Driving Instruction, aimed at the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS). This engagement falls under the education and training, and health and social work services categories. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with a due date for questionnaire responses set for 15:00 on Friday, 21 November 2025. Interested suppliers may submit their responses via the eTendersNI secure messaging platform. This preliminary step aims to gather market insights before a formal procurement process, which is scheduled to have communication updates by 31 January 2026, with the subsequent contract period spanning from 2 May 2026 to 1 May 2028.

This tender provides a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in education and training or health-related services to expand their portfolio by partnering with a prominent public authority. Companies with expertise in advanced driving training, particularly ambulance driver instruction, would be ideally positioned to benefit, given the specific nature of this service. Engaging in this tender process can lead to significant business growth by establishing or strengthening relationships with the central government and potentially securing a multi-year contract in the Northern Ireland region.
