TfL Ecology Support Services Framework
Notice Description
Transport for London (TfL) is establishing a multi-supplier framework agreement for the provision of ecological and arboricultural survey and advisory services across TfL's railway infrastructure, including known and potential areas of rare and/or protected species and statutory and non-statutory designated sites (such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest and Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation). Services include, but are not limited to: Preliminary Ecological Appraisals; biodiversity baseline surveys using the statutory biodiversity metric and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) statements; protected species and habitat surveys; invasive and injurious species surveys; Ecological Clerk of Works services; Ecological Impact Assessments; arboricultural feasibility surveys, impact assessments and method statements in line with BS 5837:2012 (or latest equivalent); the obtaining of protected species licences on behalf of TfL; and the provision of survey data in GIS-compatible formats, with data returned to TfL and to Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL). The framework will require suppliers to provide TfL with full access to, and ownership of, the inspection and ecological data collected. Suppliers must hold appropriate professional memberships (such as CIEEM and the Arboricultural Association) and qualifications, including relevant protected species licences, and operatives will require London Underground certifications (including Sentinel Card with ICI-LUL endorsement) for work in the track environment.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Options: The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid. This procurement can be used across any / all TfL infrastructure and is closely related to TfL Vegetation Inspection Services. Works delivery(vegetation clearance or treatment) is not within scope
Renewal: TfL may extend the framework by one further period of up to 1 year (a maximum term of three years in total).
Planning Information
The engagement process was initiated via RISQS which identified interested suppliers. Those suppliers that expressed an interested was given a questionnaire to complete and return. The project team reviewed the supplier responses and followed up with any further questions.
