Notice Description
Service Overview: Supported Temporary Accommodation for Families The Council is seeking to engage with suitably qualified and experienced registered providers of social housing to deliver a portfolio of supported temporary accommodation units for families experiencing housing need. The proposed service model will incorporate both accommodation and support functions. Registered providers of social housing will be expected to deliver a supported housing offer, which includes tailored assistance to residents aimed at promoting tenancy sustainment, financial resilience, and pathways into settled accommodation. Support may include, but is not limited to, help with budgeting, accessing benefits, navigating housing options, and engaging with relevant statutory and voluntary services. In addition to support provision, the successful registered provider of social housing will be responsible for delivering comprehensive tenancy and housing management services across the portfolio. This will include: * Booking clients into appropriate accommodation units * Managing voids and ensuring timely turnaround of properties * Undertaking responsive and planned repairs and maintenance * Ensuring compliance with health and safety and housing standards * Acting as the primary point of contact for residents regarding tenancy matters The Council expects registered providers of social housing to operate with a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to quality, ensuring that both the physical environment and the support offer contribute to positive outcomes for families in temporary accommodation.
