Summary of the contracting process

NHS England, the buying organisation, has awarded contracts for the provision of Health Visiting Services in the Midlands under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), as mentioned in the confirmation of contract award notice. The awarded contracts, executed using the Most Suitable Provider Process, cover two lots: East Midlands (Lot 1) and West Midlands (Lot 2). Lot 1, valued at £125,892, is managed by Nottingham CityCare Partnership Community Interest Company, while Lot 2, valued at £64,564, is managed by Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. Both contracts commenced on 1st March 2026 and are set to conclude on 31st October 2026. Within the services industry category, the procurement method utilised was limited, conducted without prior publication of a call for competition, focusing on health services specifically targeting 0-5-year-olds across Nottingham City and Sandwell regions. The award of these contracts marks the completion of the procurement stage.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for organisations operating within health services sectors, particularly those specialising in early years' health education, community health initiatives, and service integration. Eligible businesses adept in delivering quality service outcomes and capable of demonstrating expertise in addressing health inequalities will benefit from participation. With long-term prospects in enhancing community-focused health provisions, organisations experienced in handling similar projects can leverage this tender to expand their portfolio and reinforce their position in the healthcare industry. Besides offering a platform to contribute to improving public health, this tender is particularly well-suited for large healthcare providers looking to consolidate their services in the Midlands.
