Notice Description
The Contract Award Notice originally published on 20 April 2026, 10:12am, did not apply a mandatory standstill period in accordance with section 51 of the Procurement Act 2023. This notice has been republished to correct that omission. The mandatory standstill period of eight working days will apply from the date of publication of this corrected Contract Award Notice (20 April 2026). No changes have been made to the award decision, evaluation outcome, or the identity of the successful tenderer. This correction is published in the interests of transparency and to ensure full compliance with sections 50 and 51 of the Procurement Act 2023. The contract will provide consultancy support to Manchester City Council's Street Lighting Client management team. The contract period will be for 4 years. It is intended for the contract to commence 12th May 2026

The Council is using the e-business portal known as the Chest. Applicants will need to register their details at the following link www.the-chest.org.uk . Once registered, applicants will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the documentation relating to this opportunity. Applicants will need to electronically submit their completed tender documents, including procurement specific questionnaire, via the on-line portal by 11am on 30th January 2026 as referred to in the tender documentation. Any clarification queries must also be submitted via the Chest website by the date referred to in the tender documentation. -
