Notice Title
ECO25186 Pride In Place Funding
Notice Description
The Torquay Place Leadership Board, through Torbay Council as the accountable body, are looking for a community organisation to help support community groups, develop, monitor and evaluate business cases coming forward for Pride in Place funding. The government's Pride in Place Programme (was Plan for Neighbourhoods) will see up to PS5billion given to nearly 250 areas across the UK. Each area will receive up to PS20million of funding and support over the next 10 years to make long-term improvements that residents want. Torquay is to receive just under PS20million of this funding. In the summer of 2025 conversations were had with a significant amount of community groups in how to spend this money over the next decade. This helped produced a vision for how to spend the money and key themes to focus on based of community feedback. The board is looking for an organisation to continue to move these conversations forward and help develop projects into successful applications in line with the spend profile. It is looking for an organisation to help and facilitation to help bring together groups and ideas that will make a real impact in the lives of people in Torquay.
