Summary of the contracting process

The recent tender for "Denosumab Services Bromley SEL" was handled by NHS South East London Integrated Care Board, focusing on the health services industry. This procurement aims to deliver denosumab injection services to patients in Bromley to reduce hospital visits. The procurement stage is complete with the contract awarded following a "Most Suitable Provider" process as part of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The procurement method was limited, bypassing the need for prior publication. The contract's initial term starts in December 2025, ending on 31st March 2029, with a possible extension to 31st March 2031. Key moments include the standstill period ending at 23:59 on 22nd December 2025, marking a crucial deadline for any representations.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities for health service providers, especially those capable of delivering specialised injection services. The contract has been awarded to Bromley GP Alliance, highlighting potential for businesses that can demonstrate high capability and quality in service delivery without costing displacement within financial constraints. Suitable competitors would be those with experience in GP-led clinical services, particularly with a focus on osteoporosis treatments. This tender underscores the need for companies to maintain robust service solutions to meet the standards required by NHS procurement processes.
