Summary of the contracting process

Sheffield City Council is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process titled "Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Service Model – Market Engagement Event." This initiative, under the health and social work services category, seeks to innovate adult care and wellbeing services in Sheffield. The procurement effort involves a market engagement event, scheduled to occur via MS Teams on the 13th of January 2026, between 10:00 am and 11:30 am. Interested parties are encouraged to register their interest by emailing adam.elwis@sheffield.gov.uk or through the designated portal. Additional individual sessions are to follow in February 2026, with more future procurement activities planned, leading to an anticipated contract period starting on the 1st of December 2026 through to the 30th of November 2031.

The TEC service model represents a significant opportunity for businesses operating within health and social care services. SMEs are particularly suitable to engage with this project, providing an avenue for expanding service offerings and increasing business visibility in collaboration with Sheffield City Council. Businesses with robust capabilities in technology-enabled care solutions, as well as those experienced in service delivery within the framework laid out by the City Wide Care Alarms and partners, will find this procurement process advantageous for growth. This engagement not only promises substantial contract value but positions stakeholders at the forefront of an evolving service delivery landscape.
