Procurement Information
Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a 12-month contract to Medical Imaging Partnership Ltd for the provision of Dental Cone Beam CT scans and reports for patients of Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, using the Urgent Award provision. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The contract start date is 01/01/2026, and the contract is strictly limited to 12 months with no option to extend. This period will allow the Trust to undertake further market research, which is required to determine a sustainable longer-term solution. The Trust anticipates that researching the market and completing a competitive procurement will require a minimum of 6 months, and this supports the clinical urgency to maintain service continuity and avoid harm to patients. Without this contract, patients' diagnosis and treatment would be delayed, resulting in prolonged pain and potential deterioration of their clinical conditions.
