Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Brent is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Embedded Youth Violence Hospital Worker Programme." The initiative seeks a qualified contractor to implement a programme addressing youth violence at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow. This service involves deploying two specialist case workers and one team leader to intervene immediately and offer long-term support to young individuals involved in gang-related activities, focusing on breaking cycles of reoffending. This procurement, categorised under Education and training services as well as Health and social work services, will have the tender published on 5th January 2026. The programme is set to commence on 1st April 2026 and end on 31st March 2028, with an estimated contract value of £300,000 GBP.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the sectors of education, training, health, and social work, especially those capable of delivering tailored interventions for youth involved in serious violence. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are deemed suitable to apply, offering a chance to contribute expertise within a sub-central government context. The procurement process, following an initial tender phase, can help businesses expand their footprint in public sector services and strengthen their portfolio by being part of a high-impact community-focused programme.
