Summary of the contracting process

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees, along with the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to procure domiciliary care services, targeting the industry category of health and social work services. The procurement process involves a selective method using a restricted procedure and aims to appoint providers adept in delivering personal care and support to service users at home. The award phase of the process, focusing on Category 1 further competitions from October to December 2025, is now complete, with multiple suppliers awarded contracts. The region of service delivery is focused on the UK, and procurement activities were finalized on 30th January 2026.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specializing in domiciliary care services, particularly those capable of catering to adults with varying needs such as older age, sensory impairment, and mental health challenges, among others. Participation in the DPS allows businesses to become part of a regularly accessed pool for future contracts, which can enhance their market presence and business growth. Suitable businesses are those with experience in providing care and support in home settings, focusing on person-centred services that maximise user independence, safety, and quality of life. This opportunity is ideal for companies that can demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory standards while offering competitive and high-quality care solutions.

Notice Description

Kirklees Council, in conjunction with the Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group, has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of domiciliary care services.
