Summary of the contracting process

Bassetlaw District Council procured physical security enhancements for Retford Town Square to meet the requirements of Martyn’s Law. The works covered a preliminary archaeological site investigation and ongoing watching brief; removal and relocation of non-compliant street furniture; installation of three attack-resistant rise-and-fall bollards, including excavation of the pits; around 15 attack-resistant fixed bollards; and around 15 items of attack-resistant street furniture, including benches and seats.
