Summary of the contracting process

Luton Council is initiating a procurement process titled "AT1482 Supported Accommodation 16 & 17, 18-25 Years in Luton," focused on the social services industry within the UKH21 region. The project involves commissioning Ofsted registered Supported Accommodation Services for young people aged 16 and 17, along with services for those aged 18–25. The procurement is in the planning stage, with a significant milestone being a "Meet the Buyer" event scheduled for 24 February 2026. Interested parties should contact Caroline Sturman for participation. The procurement will progress through a light touch open framework, adhering to the Procurement Act 2023, and is set to offer a framework agreement with a contract period from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2036.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, especially SMEs and VCSEs, within the supported accommodation sector. Those with active facilities located within a 30-mile radius of Luton Town Hall, possessing Ofsted registration for the provision of services to 16-17-year-olds, and demonstrating value for money, stand a competitive chance. The initiative aims to create a nurturing environment for young individuals transitioning to independence, making it a promising venture for providers committed to quality care and support services.
