Summary of the contracting process

This public procurement process, led by NHS England, pertains to the provision of School Aged Immunisation Services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire. The procurement falls under the health services industry category and is in the stage of contract modification as of 9th February 2026. The contract initially covers a 4-month period starting from 1st September 2025 to 31st December 2025, with a subsequent 3-month extension from 1st January 2026 to 31st March 2026. These adjustments were made under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 due to unforeseeable circumstances delaying new contract awards. The service locations are in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This contract offers significant opportunities for businesses capable of providing health services, particularly those specialising in immunisation programmes. The procurement modification covers both flu and non-flu vaccine delivery, offering potential for businesses with expertise in handling targeted healthcare programmes for school-aged children. Large-scale healthcare providers, such as NHS trusts already operating in the sector, would find themselves well-suited to bid for such opportunities due to the comprehensive nature of services required and the existing collaboration with regional NHS bodies. This contract not only supports public health objectives but also enables business growth through sustained contract engagement over the upcoming months.
