Summary of the contracting process

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is overseeing the procurement process for a new Vulnerable Women's Health Service in Hull. The procurement falls within the services category and is being conducted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, using the 'Most Suitable Provider' process. The primary service location is identified as Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire region.

This procurement presents a strategic opportunity for healthcare providers experienced in delivering high-quality primary nursing care, particularly those with expertise in trauma-informed approaches for vulnerable groups. The process favours providers with a current contract for primary care medical services, valid CQC registration, and nursing staff registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The Vulernable Women's Health Service aims to improve access and engagement with healthcare services for a defined patient cohort. Businesses with a focus on integration, collaboration, and service sustainability in healthcare, especially small to medium enterprises, are well-suited to benefit from this tender. The contract was awarded to Modality Partnership (Hull), which aligns well with the requirement for organisations familiar with the local healthcare landscape.
