Summary of the contracting process

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking suppliers for a 25 mm Vacuum Insulated Control Valve as part of an experimental programme in the public authority - central government sector. This tender, active and currently at the Tender stage, is pertinent to the industrial process control equipment and pipeline industry categories, with the procurement regulated by legal basis UKPGA 2023/54. The equipment is designated for the HSE Buxton test site in the United Kingdom, and delivery is required before September 2026. Interested parties must submit their tenders by 6 March 2026, 1:00 PM, and can enquire until 27 February 2026, 1:00 PM.

This tender presents a compelling opportunity for businesses specialising in manufacturing industrial valves, particularly those equipped for handling liquid hydrogen and meeting ATEX Zone 1 requirements. Companies with expertise in electrical control and vacuum insulation technology would be well-suited to compete, alongside those offering pipeline and piping solutions. The procurement method is open competition, fostering opportunities for smaller and specialised suppliers to engage without the constraints of a high-value threshold. Successful bidders will be selected based on their ability to meet stringent specifications, delivery timelines, and competitive pricing, enabling business growth through strategic alignment with new technological requirements and public sector collaborations.
