Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Camden is planning a procurement process for the development of new homes within the Raglan Street estate as part of Phase 1 Package A of its New Homes for Small Sites Programme. This initiative forms part of Camden's larger Community Investment Programme and aims to build affordable social and intermediate rent homes on underutilised sites. The procurement process is at the planning stage, with important milestones such as a pre-market engagement response deadline set for 4th March 2026. The project, categorised under the construction industry, is to take place in the UKI31 region, United Kingdom, with an anticipated contract period from December 2026 to August 2028. The estimated gross value of the works is £9,480,000.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for construction firms skilled in developing housing projects and capable of delivering on small and infill sites to provide 100% affordable homes. Businesses with experience in community-focused developments that engage local stakeholders stand to benefit, especially SMEs, as suitability criteria includes provisions for them. With substantial funding available and contracts above threshold levels, firms that can contribute to Camden’s goals for sustainable and affordable housing should consider bidding for this opportunity.
