Notice Description
Adult Social Care commission the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) to deliver our Community Wellbeing & Prevention Services. The Care Act (2014) emphasises wellbeing, prevention, and person centred care, utilising the VCS supports Wokingham to meet these statutory duties within Wokingham. The Care Act formally recognises the voluntary sector as a key partner in delivering adult social care, especially in prevention, wellbeing, and community support. The commissioned services are key to the delivery of the ASC strategy, to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care and support.

Planning Information
Recommissioning of the Community Wellbeing & Prevention Services provided by Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) organisations in the Wokingham Borough. Suite of contracts (currently 25) delivering a wide range of community services to Wokingham Borough residents (Adults 18 years +) that lead to improved social connectivity, better community cohesion and resilience and improved wellbeing so residents can thrive, living the lives they want to lead. The commissioned services are key to preventing, reducing and delaying the need for formal care and support form Adult Social Care. We will be hosting a virtual market engagement event on 25 March 2026 from 9:00am to 10:30am. If you would like to attend, please express your interest via the messaging function on the Proactis portal. Please note that we will not be monitoring emails regarding this event. Only those who register their interest through the Proactis portal will be included.
