Newcastle City Council is undertaking a project to refurbish and upgrade the City Running Track to ensure it remains a safe, high-quality, and accessible athletics facility for residents, community groups, and local sports clubs. The project will replace the existing worn track surface, improve associated infrastructure, and bring the facility up to modern performance and safety standards in line with national athletics guidance.
