Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (HIOW ICB) is in the planning stage of a procurement process for Isle of Wight Carers Support Services, with the industry category being Health and Social Work Services. Based in Eastleigh, United Kingdom, the buying organisation has scheduled an engagement webinar for 5th March 2026, aiming to discuss the carers support services on the Isle of Wight. The contracting process anticipates issuing a Contract Notice and Invitation to Tender by the end of March 2026. The contract period is set to start on 1st August 2026 and may extend up to July 2031. This initiative focuses on providing equitable and responsive carer support to the local population, intending to improve long-term resilience and reduce reliance on statutory services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for organisations specialising in health and social work services, particularly those experienced in delivering high-quality, standardised carer support. Given the collaborative nature of this contract, businesses capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders across the health and social care pathways are well-suited to compete. The 3 plus 2 year contract emphasises optimal interventions, support for carers during acute hospital admissions, and aims to support carers in maintaining their responsibilities with enhanced independence. Companies looking to expand or strengthen their network within the public health sector, especially in the Isle of Wight region, will find this tender to be an excellent avenue for growth.
