Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Audio Visual Multi-Media (AVMM) redaction technologies." This procurement focuses on gathering market information related to AVMM redaction tools and solutions, aimed at improving efficiency for police forces in England and Wales. Classified under the 'Police equipment' category, it represents a central government public authority effort. Located in London, the procurement process initiated with a Request for Information (RFI) that closes on 12th March 2026, and the contract period is planned to start on 3rd May 2027 and end on 2nd May 2029. Interested suppliers can engage through a written exercise managed via Jaggaer, with the aim of evaluating such redaction technologies.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in AVMM technology development, particularly those offering robust police equipment solutions. It invites companies to share technical specifications, integration capabilities, and pricing models, which could lead to business growth through collaboration with UK police forces. Companies with strong research and development capabilities in AVMM redaction features, either integrated or API-based, would be well-positioned to compete. By engaging in this procurement, tech firms can align their offerings to meet public sector demands, potentially expanding their market presence and influencing future procurement activities across central government bodies.
