Preventative Maintenance and Overhaul Services for Pfaff Rail Maintenance Jacks
Notice Description
The Contracting authority intends to direct award to the incumbent supplier for the provision of specialist engineering services to support the continued safe operation of lifting equipment used within rail maintenance depots.The requirement covers a 12 month programme of preventative maintenance for 30 Pfaff branded maintenance jacks, together with a mid life overhaul of 14 Pfaff Jacks.

The direct award to the incumbent supplier is justified on grounds of ensuring continuity of services which are intended as an extension to existing services in circumstances where a) a change in supplier would result in EMR receiving goods and services that are different from, or incompatible with, existing goods and services and b) the difference or incompatibility would result in disproportionate technical difficulties in operation or maintenance.
