Summary of the contracting process

The Food Standards Agency (FSA), a public authority within the central government of the United Kingdom, is seeking suppliers for a project titled "Literature Review: Allergenicity of Cell Cultivated Products". This initiative falls under the research and development industry category, specifically targeting consultancy services. The procurement process has reached the tender update stage, with the current deadline for submission extended to 27 April 2026, 12:00 BST. The FSA, headquartered in York (YO1 7PR), aims to close the knowledge gap concerning allergenic risks of cell cultivated products, with the contract scheduled to commence on 1 June 2026. Interested parties should note the allocated budget of up to £40,000, excluding VAT, available within the 2026/2027 financial year.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as they are deemed suitable for this procurement process. The open competition procurement method used ensures a transparent selection, with a focus on technical and commercial award criteria.
