Hydrology Training Programme
Notice Description
The Environment Agency requires the delivery of its Hydrology Training Programme to maintain and enhance technical resilience. This programme was established following the Hydrology Review (2008), which identified hydrology as a critical business risk and a scarce skill within the Environment Agency.
Planning Information
We require a contract for delivery of the Environment Agency’s existing Hydrology Training Programme. We currently own training materials for a 7-course programme of hydrology training, which consists of specialist degree-level scientific content. These courses need to be taught by industry-recognised hydrology experts with experience of education. This is a highly specialised niche technical skill. Previous contract was on the old Mapping and Modelling (C13077) The proposed route to market is a Competitive Flexible Procedure to allow the use of a Preferred Supplier Stage where any weaknesses in the supplier’s tender can be addressed and limited negotiation can take place.
