    "description": "This Contract Variation of the scope of the original contract to extend the service to cover North Cumbria NHS ICB. It is a permitted Modification Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contract regulations 2015. The strategy requires enhanced sharing of information and improved collaborative and operational delivery and associated outcomes.<br/><br/>(ii) the modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract; - This modification and incorporation of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust requirements is within the overall nature of the original contract requirements, providing the Trust with a laboratory information management system and supporting services.<br/><br/>(iii) the increase in price does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract or framework agreement. - This modification and incorporation of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust remains within the allowable 50% of the value of the original contract of PS11,464,918, which includes permitted extensions. The value of the modification is PS4,529,961.",
