Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process initiated by Rochdale Borough Council focuses on the provision of Children and Young People's 0-19 Public Health Services within the UKD37 region. This project, valued at £32,371,000, falls under the category of health and social work services and is currently in the planning stage, with the procurement method set as a direct award under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The intended standstill period is scheduled to commence on 24th March 2026 and conclude at midnight on 2nd April 2026. The services encompass crucial programs such as health visiting and school nursing, aimed at enhancing public health outcomes for children up to age 19.

This tender offers significant prospects for growth, particularly for organisations experienced in public health delivery and child-focused health services. With a planned two-year contract and potential for three extension years, businesses specialising in health and social services can anticipate long-term engagement. Companies with proven track records in health programmes, public health initiatives, and safeguarding processes, particularly those familiar with regional health service dynamics, are well-suited for this opportunity. The direct award to Northern Care Alliance suggests that entities with existing regional connections and expertise may have a competitive edge in this procurement process.

Notice Description

The 0-19 Public Health Services are crucial in ensuring children and families get a good start in life. The services consist of the health visiting service and school nursing service.
