Summary of the contracting process

The NHS England London Region has recently awarded a contract for public screening services, beginning on 1st April 2026 and concluding on 31st March 2027. This competitive tendering process was conducted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, with a standstill period concluding without challenges, solidifying the award decision. Located in London, these services are part of the health services industry category, and this contract did not conform to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The NHSE London Commercial Hub navigated this competition using a structured competitive procedure, aiming at enhancing public health screening capabilities in the region.

This tender creates numerous opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, especially those with a focus on screening and diagnostic solutions. Companies offering innovative screening technologies or services tailored to public health can leverage this opportunity to expand their offerings within the NHS framework. Furthermore, businesses located within or looking to expand into the London healthcare sector would find this contract particularly beneficial for growth, as it ensures involvement in government-backed initiatives in a pivotal location like London. The competitive nature of the tender and the structured regime provide a fair and transparent environment for all qualified healthcare providers to compete.
