NRW/30235 Design Team Services for Site-Wide Framework Plan and First Phase Full Planning Application
Notice Description
Norwich City Council, in partnership with Homes England, seeks to appoint an experienced and ambitious design team (architects, masterplanners and landscape specialists) to shape the first phase of a major new urban extension in Norwich, on the edge of this historic city. The project represents a rare opportunity to establish the character, quality and long term trajectory of a new urban village, transforming a substantial former industrial site into a distinctive, well connected and sustainable place to live.

Options: If Full Planning Permission has been achieved, the provision of drawings and information to RIBA Stage 4 to facilitate a contractor tender. Additional drawing and report work required to turn the 'site-wide framework' (which is a core part of this commission) into an Outline Planning Application (by April 2027).
Renewal: Base contract is valued at up to PS500,000 Modification 1: further design work to Stage 4 Modification 2: hybrid outline planning application Total Estimated Value up to PS1m with contract modifications
