Notice Title
Early Market Engagement Event for Next Generation Occupational Health Services at the Metropolitan Police Service
Notice Description
The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) intends to procure its 'Next Generation' Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services, with a planned commencement date of October 2027. Having undergone extensive internal consultation, alongside engagement with national partners, the MPS wishes to engage with potential suppliers within the Occupational Health and wellbeing market to outline our strategic direction for Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services, which will be aligned to New Met for London 2 and the emerging MPS Health and Wellbeing Strategy. As part of this engagement, suppliers will be invited to provide feedback and ask questions during the event as well as further optional 1:1 discussions with the Next Generation project team. To support this, interested suppliers are asked to complete a quick checklist prior to the event so MPS can gain an understanding of capability within the supplier market. Potential providers are encouraged to attend the market engagement event and subsequent 1:1 sessions (please see engagement section). Please note - These services are likely to be tendered under "light touch regulations" so MPS preserve the flexibility accordingly.
Planning Information
The MPS wishes to engage with potential suppliers to outline its vision and the strategic direction for future Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services available to police officers and police staff. These services will be aligned to the new MPS Health and Wellbeing Strategy. This ambitious project aims to refresh the MPS offer to officers and staff, providing modern occupational health and wellbeing support that is tailored to the unique health and wellbeing challenges faced by our people. This is a unique opportunity for suppliers to be part of an organisational shift towards prevention, early intervention and facilitation of enhanced personal resilience. This Early Market engagement event and 1:1s aims to: • Share our vision and strategic objectives for Next Generation MPS Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services • Outline challenges of modern policing based on recent engagement with staff, officers and other policing authorities • An opportunity to discuss potential delivery models to meet the vision and strategic objectives. • Strengthen the MPS' relationships with the Occupational Health and Wellbeing provider market • Provide suppliers with an opportunity to clarify any uncertainties about Next Generation services, or the upcoming tender process(es) • Prepare suppliers to understand if they will be able to fulfil the MPS' requirements • This market engagement event will be held on Wednesday 15th April at 12:30 until 16:00 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DA (Ulster Suite) Further Engagement • Following this event suppliers will be invited to meet with MPS on a 1:1 basis via Microsoft Teams or in person w/c 20th April to discuss their reflections on any of the presented content and resulting in-event discussions, in order to allow MPS to build on their market knowledge which will support the resulting delivery model. These sessions will be an opportunity to gain views on potential delivery and pricing models • The event will be suitable for suppliers who provide a range of integrated Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services as well as those that provide niche/bespoke elements of Occupational Health and Wellbeing support, particularly elements that are related to police and blue-light services, trauma prevention, intervention and counselling, and preventative, predictive & proactive health To register your attendance for the Early Market Engagement event and or/1:1 sessions, please contact Jo Frodhe at jo.frodhe@met.police.uk. You will be asked to complete a Confirmation of Attendance document to secure your place at the Early Market Engagement event and/or 1:1 sessions. Due to capacity available for this event, suppliers are asked to limit attendee numbers to two per organisation. Those that have not registered will not be allowed entry to this event.
