It also further modifies the contract by extending it for a further 24 month period. The original contract award notice should have been detailed as PS31,692,740, which is inclusive of a 12 month extension period. Under Regulation 72(1)(b) PCR 2015 the Authority are further modifying the contract by extending it for a further 24 month period. The modification is necessary as: - the authority needs further services from this supplier to ensure a period of stability, as we prepare for controlled decommissioning and safe supported exit from these legacy services - it is not possible to change the contractor because of the important / unique speciality knowledge of the complex integrations, operational nuances and operational workarounds - it would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for the authority and - the value of the modification does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract. As a result of this modification the new total contract value is PS44,611,723."
