Notice Description

Mandatory Regulation requires National Security Vetting is completed in accordance with HMG vetting processes. The ONR regulates licensed nuclear sites across England, Scotland & Wales and is the UK's independent nuclear regulator for safety, security and safeguards. Mandated by Government Legislation the ONR are the single vetting Authority and regulator for the Nuclear Industry.

Procurement Information

It is mandated in government legislation that National Security Vetting is applied to those appropriate persons working in the nuclear industry. The only supplier of this service is United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and all nuclear industry vetting is managed through the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) as the Nuclear Industry Regulator. This is mandated in Government Legislation and the ONR are the Vetting Authority and Regulator for the Nuclear Industry as designated in the NISR 2003.
