    "description": "This is a Provider Selection Regime Wales (PSR Wales) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Services (Provider Selection Regime) (Wales) Regulations 2025. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015/Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 17th April 2026 to jane.boult@wales.nhs.uk. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR Wales. Ty Hafan is the only provider in Wales able to deliver this integrated combination of specialist paediatric palliative care across hospice, home, hospital, and community settings. As a dedicated children's hospice, Ty Hafan offers expert clinical support to children and young people with complex, rare or undiagnosed life shortening conditions, ensuring care that is fully personalised to their physical, emotional and social needs. The award decision makers are relevant staff from the Consortium Health Boards involved in the provider selection process, these include the roles of General Manager, Lead Commissioner and Clinical Staff. No conflicts of interest were declared or identified as part of the conflicts assessment process. There are no other providers in Wales able to undertake the service provision required and therefore no other providers were considered. (WA Ref:163787)",

For the reasons detailed above the intention is to award to Ty Hafan as the existing provider following Direct Award Process 1. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years in 12 months increments. It is estimated that the contract will be to the value of approximately 1.8millionGBP including the extension options.",
