Bedford Borough Council is looking to set up an Open Framework Agreement for Residential and nursing care homes services under the Light Touch Regime.

Planning Information

Bedford Borough Council is currently reviewing and developing a new Residential Care Framework for the future commissioning of residential care services across the borough. We would like to invite you to participate in an upcoming Market Engagement Day to help shape this important development. This event will provide an opportunity for providers to engage directly with the Council’s commissioning and brokerage teams to discuss the proposed framework, share insights from your operational experience, and help ensure that the framework supports both high-quality care and a sustainable provider market. Why attend? Participating in this engagement event will give providers the opportunity to: • Gain early insight into the proposed Residential Care Framework • Contribute to the design and development of the framework • Share feedback on pricing structures, service expectations, and quality standards • Understand how the framework may shape future commissioning arrangements • Strengthen relationships with the Council’s commissioning and brokerage teams • Help ensure the framework reflects real market conditions and operational realities Your expertise and experience are essential in helping us develop a framework that works effectively for providers, the Council, and most importantly the residents who rely on these services.
