Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office is conducting a Market Engagement Exercise (MEE) under the title "Enterprise Architecture SaaS Tool Request for Information". This initiative is aimed at exploring current market offerings in the Enterprise Architecture (EA) tooling landscape, specifically within a large, federated public sector environment. The process is in the planning stage, with a significant focus on understanding high-level capabilities, deployment models, and commercial structures. Interested suppliers were required to register by 14 April 2026, with RFI response submissions due by 20 April 2026. The procurement activity does not commit to any contractual arrangements, and future procurement will comply with regulations. Notably, the communications included a proposed notice update date of 1 September 2026, with contract execution foreseen between 30 September 2026 and 29 September 2027. The procurement primarily concerns the software package and information systems sector, centred in the United Kingdom.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in IT software solutions, particularly those experienced in Enterprise Architecture services. Companies with capabilities in security, data-handling approaches, and integration patterns will find themselves well-suited to contribute to this dialogue. While this MEE does not constitute a competitive process, participation could position suppliers advantageously for any forthcoming procurement activities aligned with the Home Office's requirements. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to engage, as the procurement recognises the potential contributions of smaller entities in shaping market capabilities and deployment models. This dialogue fosters an informed understanding of current industry practices and emerging solutions, paving the way for strategic growth and collaboration within the public sector's digital architecture initiatives.
