Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "Reporting UK Non-Nuclear Radioactive Discharges" is being conducted by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, a central government authority based in London, United Kingdom. This tender falls under the services industry category, specifically focusing on radioactive materials and data collection and collation services. The current procurement stage is tender, and interested suppliers must submit their tenders electronically via the Jaggaer eSourcing Portal by 22nd June 2026. The estimated contract value is £25,500 over three years, starting from 8th July 2026, and it aims to fulfil the UK's international obligations under the OSPAR Convention. Key dates include an enquiry period ending on 5th June 2026.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses experienced in data management, quality assurance, and analysis, particularly those familiar with environmental and radioactive material sectors. It provides a competitive opening for SMEs and VCSEs due to the suitable procurement method chosen—a below-threshold open competition. Businesses possessing international standards accreditations such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, or OHSAS 18001, and those with a robust understanding of the requirements, proposed delivery plans, and skilled workforce stand a competitive chance. Participation in this tender could aid in business growth through active involvement in critical governmental public safety projects, enhancing both visibility and credibility in the environmental services sector.
