Notice Description

Torbay Council is seeking a Provider to deliver a Specialist Stop Smoking Service in Torbay. The service will support adult residents to take steps towards reducing and quitting smoking and long term vaping. The service to be delivered will comprise: * Delivery of regular campaigns to keep reducing and quitting in people's minds, * Establishing and training a network of people working and volunteering across Torbay who can deliver smoking and vaping advice, * Provision of self-directed support tools, * Behavioural and pharmacological support delivered in person, over the phone and through a fully digital, app based service, * Delivery of outreach support to improve engagement and outcomes for underserved groups. The Provider will be expected to ensure a competent workforce, delivery to national guidance, and strong partnership working to reduce smoking prevalence across the locality, in line with the UK Government's smokefree 2030 ambition.

Torbay Council wish to invite interested suppliers to a market engagement event to inform the development of a forthcoming procurement for a specialist stop smoking service. The event will be held on Wednesday 06th May from 10:30am – 12:00pm virtually, via Microsoft Teams. Interested Providers are required to reserve their place, by please sending a message via the 'Messaging' facility for this opportunity on www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk (and the ProContract system opportunity which sits behind this). Your message should confirm that you wish to attend, and contain the following information: • Name of attendee(s) • Email address(es) of the attendee(s); and • Provider Organisation’s name. Please note, places will be limited to two attendees per organisation. The market engagement event will take place virtually via Microsoft Teams. Once you have emailed with the information required, a link to the virtual meeting will be sent to those identified at booking stage. The Council will send this nearer to event date of Wednesday 06th May. Please ensure that you send your request to attend message through the ‘Messaging’ facility on this ProContract system, no later than 4:00pm on Friday 01st May 2026.
