Summary of the contracting process

Worcestershire County Council is initiating a public procurement process for the Domestic Abuse Support Service in line with its statutory obligations under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. This initiative, categorised under health and social work services, seeks to provide specialised support for adults and children affected by domestic abuse. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with preliminary market engagement scheduled to gather insights from potential service providers and inform the procurement strategy. Interested organisations are invited to provide feedback by 8th May 2026. The service is set to commence on 1st April 2027, with a projected contract end date of 31st March 2029, and potential extensions until 2033, in Worcester, UKG12.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social work services, particularly those adept in delivering outreach and support accommodations for domestic abuse survivors. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, given the procurement's suitability for these entities. With a gross value of £10,080,000, the procurement demands high-standard services that address the diverse needs of minority groups and individuals with care requirements. Businesses can leverage this opportunity to expand their portfolio, enhance community impact, and collaborate with local governments to advance public health objectives.
