Summary of the contracting process

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is in the planning stage for a procurement process concerning the Comprehensive Insurance Brokerage Service for the British Embassies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Located in London, the FCDO is inviting interested parties to participate in an Early Market Engagement (EME) session scheduled for 17 June 2026, via MS Teams at 11:00h Dubai time, with an expression of interest deadline by 10 June 2026. This session aims to provide insights into service requirements, procurement processes, evaluation criteria, timelines, and more, offering a pre-tender engagement for this service, which spans industry categories like life, medical, and liability insurance services. The initial contract term is slated to be from 11 November 2026 to 10 November 2027, extendable for two additional one-year periods, with an engagement value over £2.4 million GBP, indicating a significant service-provision opportunity for the right provider.

This tender provides ripe opportunities for businesses specialising in insurance brokerage services, particularly those experienced in public sector contracts and capable of servicing large-scale governmental bodies. With a need for comprehensive coverage including medical, life, and liability insurance across multiple embassies, businesses adept in handling diverse insurance needs and familiar with central government procurement processes will find a perfect fit. The process underlines an open and above-threshold procurement method, encouraging broad participation and the potential for meaningful engagement with the UK government sector, positioning qualified firms to forge long-term relationships and expand their portfolios within international markets.
