Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, is conducting an open procurement process for an Organisational Development Partner. The tender, titled "Organisational Development Partner," falls under the services category and aims to enhance leadership and cultural conditions across regional working systems. The procurement is in the tender stage with a deadline for submissions set for 1st July 2026, and the award is planned for 6th July 2026. The contract, valued up to £180,000, will cover regions UKL15 and UKL17 in Wales, aligning with Welsh devolved regulations and statutory public sector criteria. Potential suppliers have been previously engaged in a pre-market session on 22 May 2026, to discuss the scope and expectations of the project.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in organisational development, culture change, and system leadership, particularly those already experienced in working with the NHS and public sectors. Companies with expertise in facilitating multi-organisation collaborations, delivering leadership development, and embedding collaborative behaviours at various system levels will find this project aligns well with their capabilities. With the option for contract renewal and the focus on fostering structured yet adaptable OD processes, businesses are encouraged to propose delivery models that balance strategic planning with responsive, evidence-based interventions. The procurement values innovation and collaborative approaches, making it well-suited for businesses prioritising social responsibility and sustainable practices, especially given the tender's emphasis on contributing to the Welsh economic footprint and well-being initiatives.
