Mecon GmbH is the original equipment manufacturer and Icenta is the sole supplier of the discontinued magnetic flowmeters, for which no compatible, like-for-like alternative exists without extensive redesign and nuclear safety requalification. These instruments are required for operation of the facility through its extended life to 2057. Mecon has confirmed a unique, time-limited opportunity to restart production for a final run, including an approved design improvement that removes a known failure mode and improves reliability.
