National Grid Electricity Transmission plc (NGET) is the owner of transmission network assets across UK Power Networks distribution networks, as such, interconnection between the transmission and distribution networks requires payment between the two companies for various activities. On occasion Asset Transfer Agreements (ATA) are required, similarly, land transfers, transmission use of system payments, skilled resource to undertake activities such as electrical works, supervision and/or design compliance. No other supplier can compliantly undertake these requirements.
