Summary of the contracting process

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council intends to establish a framework for residential and nursing care home beds in Solihull. Providers would deliver high-quality personal care and nursing care, in line with current Care Quality Commission standards, to people nominated by the council. The service is for adults with an assessed care and support need where residential personal or nursing care has been identified as the appropriate setting. Residents are expected mainly to have complex care or support needs. This is a health and social care services procurement, classified under CPV 85000000. Delivery is within the Solihull area. The framework is intended to support care homes able to provide registered residential and nursing provision and accept placements referred by the council.
