Summary of the contracting process

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is seeking providers for the "GMCA 1937: GM Inclusion Health Service 2026 - 2029," with a procurement status currently in the planning stage. This tender is part of a significant effort to address socio-economic and health inequalities experienced by approximately 120,000 individuals in the Greater Manchester area who face multiple disadvantages, including homelessness and mental health issues. The procurement involves three lots covering co-occurring conditions support, primary care-led support, and palliative care services. The pre-market engagement session is scheduled for 2nd June 2026 at the Methodist Central Hall, Manchester, and expressions of interest are due by 1st June 2026 at noon. The overall project value is estimated at approximately £7,967,250 over three years, with contracts commencing on 1st November 2026.

This tender provides a substantial opportunity for businesses, particularly those focused on health and social work services, to contribute to a vital community health initiative. SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to apply due to the light-touch special regime, with an emphasis on integrated health services in clinical and non-clinical roles. Engaging in this procurement process allows businesses to expand their public sector portfolio, drive operational growth, and enhance community health outcomes in Rochdale, Oldham, and Manchester. Businesses specialising in these areas can leverage their expertise to deliver innovative solutions within the public authority's framework, fostering sustainable health and social care improvements.
