NEPO234 - Asbestos Management
Notice Description
The Association of North East Councils trading as the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) is establishing a framework for Asbestos Management (NEPO234). This will be a multi-supplier, multi-lot framework for asbestos surveying and asbestos removal works across a variety of public-sector settings throughout the United Kingdom. The framework will be split into the following lots: * Lot 1 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Non-Domestic Properties -Northumberland and Tyne & Wear * Lot 2 - Asbestos Removal Works within Non-Domestic Properties - Northumberland and Tyne & Wear * Lot 3 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Domestic Properties - Northumberland and Tyne & Wear * Lot 4 - Asbestos Removal Works within Domestic Properties - Northumberland and Tyne & Wear * Lot 5 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Non-Domestic Properties -Durham & Tees Valley * Lot 6 - Asbestos Removal Works within Non-Domestic Properties - Durham and Tees Valley * Lot 7 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Domestic Properties - Durham & Tees Valley * Lot 8 - Asbestos Removal Works within Domestic Properties - Durham and Tees Valley. * Lot 9 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Non-Domestic Properties - National * Lot 10 - Asbestos Removal Works within Non-Domestic Properties - National * Lot 11 - Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services - Domestic Properties - National * Lot 12 - Asbestos Removal Works within Domestic Properties - National The PS150m value is predominantly associated with the national lots, with regional lots comprising approximately 20% of the total value, reflecting their intended focus on SME participation and regional delivery. NEPO is a Centralised Procurement Authority as defined in the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), providing central purchasing activity on behalf of Contracting Authorities. The agreement will be available to NEPO Member Authorities and all current and future Associate Members. Current Associate Members are listed in the Associate Member section of the NEPO website at: https://www.nepo.org/associate-members NEPO intends to make the agreement available for use by all Contracting Authorities throughout all administrative regions of the UK (as defined by the Procurement Act 2023). A list of permissible users available at: http://www.nepo.org/associate-membership/permissible-users Organisations wishing to access the NEPO agreement will be required to register as a NEPO Associate Member in the first instance. Planning Information
As part of the market engagement process, NEPO will issue a Soft Market Testing (SMT) questionnaire to gather initial feedback from the supplier market. The questionnaire is expected to be published on the Open e-Tendering platform on 3rd July 2026, with responses requested by 24th July 2026. Interested suppliers will be able to access the questionnaire via https://www.open-uk.org. In addition, NEPO will host a supplier engagement event via Microsoft Teams. This session will provide an overview of the proposed requirement and give interested suppliers the opportunity to ask questions, share feedback and contribute insights to help shape the procurement approach. The presentation will be delivered on 9th July 2026. Suppliers wishing to attend should register their interest by contacting construction@nepo.org Please note that all dates provided are indicative and may be subject to change.
