Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office, a part of the central UK government, is currently in the planning stage for a procurement project titled "Low-code/Power Platforms". This project is related to the industry category of IT services, encompassing consulting, software development, and systems integration. The engagement process aims to explore supplier interest and market capability for providing digital professional services, particularly focusing on automation using low-code and no-code technologies. Key dates for this initiative include a deadline for submitting expressions of interest by 18 June 2026, followed by an RFI response deadline on 23 June 2026. The project is being managed from the Home Office's office in London, and any formal procurement process will take address the insights gained through this preliminary engagement.

This tender presents numerous opportunities for companies specialising in IT services to engage in meaningful government contracts. Businesses adept in digital professional services, low and no-code development, and automation will have the potential to enhance operational efficiency for the Home Office. The project's nature suggests that small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with experience in software development and systems integration will be particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging in this process could lead to substantial growth opportunities, leveraging a contract with an estimated value of £18 million, with a gross potential value of £21.6 million, over a period starting December 2026 and potentially extending to November 2030.
