Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Lambeth is commissioning supported employment services for local residents through the targeted Individual Placement and Support “Place and Train” model. Providers will help people move rapidly into work and then give the individual and employer ongoing support for 12 months to sustain employment. The service is divided into four areas: support for people with learning disabilities or autism; support for people with physical long-term health conditions; support for people with severe mental health conditions; and in-work support for residents at risk of losing their jobs. This is a public service and community support requirement, including welfare services for disabled people and social services. Delivery is for Lambeth residents and local employers in the London Borough of Lambeth.

The process has reached tender: Lambeth invited offers through an open procedure. Enquiries close at 23:00 on 11 September 2026 and offers are due by 12:00 on 25 September 2026. The contract is planned to run from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with a one-off two-year extension available, allowing a maximum period to 31 December 2030. The estimated value is £1,111,250 excluding VAT, or £1,333,500 including VAT. The four lots are evaluated on price at 20% and quality at 80%.
