Summary of the contracting process

Cheshire East Council is in the planning stages of a procurement process for the Healthy Child Programme (0-19 service), which falls under the health services category. This upcoming service aims to support children's health and wellbeing from pregnancy through to 19 years, extending to 25 years for those with special needs. Located in Cheshire East, the programme involves various health interventions and requires providers to express their interest by completing a questionnaire by 17:00 on 8th July 2026. A future detailed notice is expected on 11th January 2027. The procurement process is planned under the legal framework CELEX 32014L0024 and is part of the routine tendering cycle facilitated by the Cheshire East Council.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those experienced in delivering integrated, evidence-based child health and wellbeing interventions, to partner with a regional authority. Potentially successful bidders would be organisations that can provide antenatal and early years support, health reviews, and targeted assistance for vulnerable groups. Engaging with this procurement process can facilitate business expansion into public health contracts, providing services that align with national health guidelines and contributing to community health improvements in cooperation with education and voluntary sectors.
