Milton Keynes City Council intends to procure a single provider for planned and reactive mechanical and electrical services across its more complex operational sites. The work covers repair, maintenance and installation of building mechanical and electrical systems, together with related mechanical engineering services. The Council expects a single-provider contract under one lot, with an estimated value of £1,715,000 and a gross value of £2,058,000. The planned contract period is from 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2030, with renewal or extension arrangements allowing it to run until 30 June 2032, described as a three-plus-two-year term. The Council expects to publish the next notice by 14 September 2026. It plans a Microsoft Teams market-engagement event on 11 August 2026, from 9.30am to 10.30am. The requirement is likely to suit facilities-management providers and mechanical and electrical engineering contractors able to deliver both planned maintenance and responsive repairs across a small, expanding estate. Milton Keynes City Council (The Council) are looking for a single provider to provide planned and reactive mechanical and electrical services across a small number of our more complex sites. Commencing in the autumn of 2027, the contract will be based on a three plus two year term and will initially include four sites, though this will expand to a minimum of five sites over the contract duration. The initial four sites include our Civic Office (circa 11K M2 GIA), this site includes a full time residential engineer; and three Health Centres (All three at circa 2K M2 GIA each). The additional site to be added during the contract term will be a site delivering social care for both Day Centre & rest bite residential care ( circa 3k M2 GIA). The Council is looking to engage with suppliers who may be interested in this opportunity and will be holding a market engagement event on 11th August 2026 from 9.30am-10.30am via Microsoft teams.
