NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (referred to as the Commissioner) awarded a contract to Chartwell Dental Practice for the provision of Level 2 Oral Surgery Services following a Direct Award Process C.

NHS Central East Integrated Care Board are awarding a contract for the provision of Level 2 Oral Surgery with Sedation services following a Direct Award process C.

Level Two Oral Surgery service provides dental treatment to patients which is beyond the scope of general dental practitioners and is performed by practitioners who have completed a clinical accreditation process led by the East of England Regional Chief Dental Officers and the Oral Surgery Managed Clinical Networks.

Patients are referred from the general dental practitioner via the local online Referral Management System where the referral is clinically triaged by a team of oral surgery consultants.

There is no material change to the new contract being offered and therefore a Direct Award Process C has been completed under the PSR and a robust due diligence process has been completed to ensure providers meet all the Basic and Key Criterion.
The contract is being awarded to an existing provider following a direct award process.

The lifetime value of the contract is PS217,780

The services are to be provided from 7th July 2026 - 31st March 2029.

Options: The contract is for a total of 2 years, 8 months, and 24 days and is for an initial period of 1 year, 8 months and 24 days with an option to extend for a further year.

The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight on 6th July 2026. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR
